Where will my child go to school?
You can send your child/children to public (state government) or private (also known as independent) schools. There are over 2,200 primary and secondary schools in the NSW government school system. Most public schools are co-educational, with girls and boys encouraged to participate equally in class. Many private schools are either exclusively all boy or all girl schools. What health services are available?
New South Wales public health is made up of rural and metropolitan Area Health Services. Hospitals, rehabilitation and psychiatric hospitals, dental clinics, emergency transport, community health centres, and community support programs are the responsibility of these Area Health Services. District or base hospitals in regional areas provide medical, obstetric, paediatric, surgical, and rehabilitation services. Private hospitals also service regional areas.
